HACKATHON TASK
Since moving to fully remote or hybrid working patterns, many individuals have struggled with this working structure in a variety of ways. The task was to create a tool which would help life working from home
PRODUCT CONCEPTION
In order to find our main users we decided to brainstorm the types of jobs that have transitioned from onsite to remote working.
Our next step was to brainstorm the general issues people with these job functions could have when working from home. This exercise allowed us to see that universities, businesses, personal administration, health and finance sectors were key areas that have been impacted by the transition to remote working. We listed out each sector within Miro and asked what businesses and universities need to do better to support people? After listing out potential product solutions we voted on our favourite concept; BudUp! A platform to connect new hires with existing staff.
To build our business concept I asked ‘How might we solve this problem?’ We brainstormed solutions to narrow down our product focus. We then presented and voted on our favored concepts. We concluded that we wanted a tool to help new starters feel part of the team / meet key stakeholders.
